just wondering if any1 has physically tried to fit these cams into the z20let head?

it must be possible, some clet guys have used zlet heads.

or does any1 have some of these cams sitting round that i can try??

i can get beta cams for the clet, then i can for the zlet is all :D.

I thought that the z and x engines run a different cam sensor pickup to the c engines. Ie the sensor on the c engines is on the back of the exhaust cam while the z and x engines run the pickup near the front.

well the zlet has timing from the timing gear, and yeah i think the clet/cxe/xxe has a dizzy style on the back of the exhaust cam, but as long as the rest works would be fine.

the cam gears will go on them, as u can use the clet inlet vernier on the zlet, so thats no issue's ;).

I wouldn't worry about the cam angle sensor.
My 20XE is the latest model with Direct ignition (no distributor) these have a cam angle sensor like the X20XEV. I bought some cams from a rally car that was running an older 20XE with a dizzy, so there was no mounting point for the cam angle sensor.
I just drilled a mounting hole in the end of the old model cams with a battery drill and tapped it by hand (not recommended if you have the shakes), the cam angle sensor went on perfect, took 5mins, runs like a dream.
