Hey Mal,

Good to see another Mebournite with a GSi. I've been searching for one for my son without too much luck as I reckon they are a good little unit for a first car.

One question for you if I may. Every GSi I have driven has had really spongy brakes - is yours like that too? I'm starting to think it's a trait of that model.

hey 5050 mate, welcome on board! get some of pics up!
great to see another GSi around!
PS OzStick my GSi brakes were a bit spongy after a long time of not having the fluid changed, a quick fluid change and a new set of pads fixed that right up!

My sister used to have an Astra F 1.6L (before she got a G) and it had pretty spongy brakes (in comparison to new cars these days). The braking capacity was quite good, but you did have to push your foot down quite a bit

the brakes on my car I would describe as adequate and pedal feel is similar to other makes and models in the same of same class + era
cheers Mal
