They replaced the twin turbo v8 with a hi-po version of the 2L Turbo (190kw) matched to AWD

Wasn't it a 2.8L V6? In any case, I'd take either :p

Looks good.

Interesting bit is the engine. 190kw 2L Turbo with 400nm. + AWD: New Astra VXR specs and engine maybe??? Highly doubt they would develop that engine/awd drivetrain combo just for the American market and not use the already developed v6.... something to ponder

I thought it was just a highly tuned 2.8L Vectra VXR engine? Either way. Hot Hot Car.

All we need to do is read the link :)

The big difference relative to the OPC is replacement of that car's 2.8-liter turbocharged 321-horsepower, 321-pound-foot V-6 with a higher-output version of the 2.0-liter turbo that's expected to produce at least 255 horses and 295 pound-feet

Don't really like their grill and the yellow running lights (which are mandatory in USA) look shithouse.

What I don't get, is by the way they're talking they make the 2.0L engine sound new for the yanks - when it's been available on sports insignias in Europe for months..

The Chevy Cobalt SS has used a ECOtec 2L turbo with 190kw+ for years... ;)

All cars sold in the USA/Canada have side marker lights. Red at the rear and amber at the front.
