Opelaus Calendars?

I know it's a bit late now, but the UK Calibra Club always had their annual Calendar with photos submitted from the members rides.

Maybe we should of done one as well?

As we know, all our Opels will be collectables thanks to Holden going for the Korean imports instead.

Ok im doing a callout then!! anyone who wants their car to be in the 2010 Opelaus calender Please say so and post only 1 image of your car (your favourite that you think would best suit hanging up on someones wall, if you photo was taken by someone like pauly and you dont have it please contact him to get it.) I will devide the months evenly between different types of opels, so its not all just black astra H's from jan to october and then a couple of calibras slapped on the end...

If there is not enough cars to make up 12 months, i will select pics from peoples build/lab threads and use them... If there is too many cars i will number them and draw from a hat (i would do voting but that would take forever and ever, so its all down to chance)

If there is a certain month you want your car displayed please say so (first in best dressed)

Deadline is 16th of January

car is too over exposed in that shot given surroundings.. need to dull it down a bit of expose the background a little IMO

id rather use that pic of your 3 cars in east perth with blue filter... that one looked awesome

Adam92, Next time definitely use a proper camera! Try to be aware of where the sun is, you should never be shooting directly into the sun if its avoidable. A tripod is a great tool to increase the quality of the photo aswell. 5mp isnt bad, but a camera phone has such poor quality its ridiculous even to give them MP values.

It looks like an alright landscape you have shot in there, perhaps come closer to the water if possible and wait till sunset, you will have the water doing you wonders colour wise if you get it at the right time! For example nugzz photo above is due to sunlight, the orange highlight in the windows behind has threw a nice change in colour over the bonnet which gives the whole image a more interesting depth.

Keep up the good work, it takes alot of time and patience but youl get there (its taken me 12 hours to stage a major works before :p)

The photo of Nico's corsa in post #77 was taken on my Nokia N85 ;) 5MP camera.... Yes the quality isnt fantastic, the CCD would be microscopic. Youve just gotta know how to use it and what lighting it likes. Plus a little of CS3

been there did that.. killed my computer in the process (HDD shat itself :( ) 100+ layers in photoshop later and i was half done...

i went through about 8 pages of members build threads got pic of everyones car and made a murial up and desaturated it all except a few and spelt out opelaus.com in it.... started to look good.. shame about the hdd only took my 3 hours to get half way :p pretty pissed

Then do a collage of them tiled on the cover?
Maybe each member place on the bottom left hand corner with their User name?

This then irons out the good and bad pics, you cant go wrong there.

yeah, we'll give it a go at craigs if he doesnt mind. workshop where i did it wasnt really ideal. not a lot of room, and a lot of distractions in the background.
would be harder to use colours cos they're not 240V
