I would love one. they have a throaty note to them as well. Maybe with the Australian dollar being stronger against the Euro and GM retaining Opel / Vauxhall its possible Holden and HSV could add them to the range.

Apparently the Insigna VXR is on the SEVS list so it can be imported if Holden don't sell it (which I doubt they will). Our future is Cruze.

I'm not sure I like the car. Maybe it's the colour as Greg K said, or the vertical slots on the front. I also don't like the optional 20s. Computer says, no

Wheels aside, can't say I'm a fan of the Insignia. For its specs and price, there are heaps better options out there.

The 2.0T Insignia is far far far more tunable than the VXR too, just remaps so far have got them upto 300bhp with no issues, and a much cheaper car to pick up but you can still have the 4wd.

But the huge kerbweight of the insignia with 4x4, I would much prefer the v6 lump lugging it about over a 2ltr powerplant secondly the haldex system isnt identical in the SRi 4x4 and the Insignia VXR so to the chassie/struts nore the rear biased power delivery to the rear when engaging the VXR button!

Remap on the Insignia VXR has been seeing 355bhp and 400 when uprating the turbo......

Saying all that a few dealers have been selling on the VXR Nav for around £26,000........

I love the V6 sound . Very throaty . Hope they do come . Holden hasn't actually commented on the Insignia at this point and nor have they been asked if they will bring the model.
All the hype was about HSV bringing them to Australia.

I know bmw's are expensive over here, but if the insignia is only 1k pound cheaper than a 335i over there, how much would they cost here? And I know which I'd choose

tbh I kind of agree. It's almost like Opel/Vauxhall have gone too far to get away from their previous "bland" image.

That being said there are some pretty good things about the insignia (eg. rear end/wheels), but it doesn't seem balanced to me.

I like the car, but not too keen on the colour choice. TBH I'm not sure of it in Arden - odd for a VXR, and not keen on the red either. Other colours look good - and the car itself is pretty impressive... love the interior.

Definitely pleasant on the eye and a nice set up under the hood.

I wonder when Aus will get the privilege of seeing these on our roads.

I was reading in Top Gear U.K. mag they other day.. they reckon it lacks VXR.. gave it 3 stars out of 5.

+ 2

This was brought up and discussed on the earlier VXR Insignia thread...it dosn't look like being a cheap vehicle at all if it ever comes down here despite the fact that in a comparitive sense its cost stacks up very well to what it offers...

Over here though a 335i starts at around 115k drive away, don't think the VXR Insignia will approach anywhere near that but if it was, as said I would definitely opt for the 335i...or better still get a 135i and pocket alot of change...

another vote for getting a Beemer 335i if the Insignia would be within 10K of it pricewise.
