hi all..

i'm new to the forum.

wondering if anyone is running 20" rims.

wanting to know what brands i should be looking at.

having a hard time getting 5x110 fitment.

mission impossible.

can someone help??

btw i don't own an opel....i have a saab but it's 5x110 and on the vectra platform hence i'm here.

i have 19s which is probably big enough but i think 20s would give it more oomph.

Welcome to the site mate!

Gee's, 20", that will be a nice rough ride :D

As you already know, real pain to get in that fitment, but you could look at close fitments and have them re-drilled.

speak with wraith as he has a few sets of 20's on his astra. also do a search here on redrilliing them as you will have many more options that way.

i really like the wheels you have on your atm. wonder if i could make them fit mine. ;)

just out of curiosity what size are the tyres?
including load rating.

thanks for those. i was keen on the eurostyle 6 and the riviera as Sam from tempe said if it has a nut cover, they can probably do something.

offsets i think were not right though unfortunately.

the tyres at pirelli neros i think...235/40...unsure about the loading but they W rated from memory. little over tired for a 7.5 rim.

just wanting to check width regulations with the RTA.

i read the front can't be wider than 8".

nice!

thanks for the handy work!!

i like the first one better.

anyway i just checked the rta vsi rules....

no go.

widest rim on the front is 8 inchs and i can't go staggered as my car is AWD..grrrr..so hard.

i wouldnt mind these if they came in 20s.

very similar to the holden supersport rims.

what exactly do the rta rules state?

have a look around your car (often on the edge of the door) for the wheel size plate. it should state the maximum allowable sizes. if that is bigger than the rta say it doesnt matter, cos its still to manufacturers specs ;)

the thing is, with your rims assumably being the biggest stock ones you can get you may not be able to go any bigger than you have...

p.s. im in WA, i ask what the rta says cos they vary state to state...

grrr....vsi09 says the below-

Front wheels shall be:
• No wider than the maximum permitted for rear wheels on your vehicle or 204mm (8 inches).

Wheels up to 26mm wider than the largest optional wheel recommended by the vehicle manufacturer for the
vehicle can be fitted without the need to notify the RTA.

and yes, unfortunately mine are the largest factory rims available.

i dbl checked the 8" thing and seems to be correct.
hsv has 8" front, as does the M3....so sound like 8" will be my limit..."not happy jan"
