So after going around with Jason, shopping around for a car Stereo system, i went to a few stores and looked around, i started off thinking maybe go front rear, and amp and just get 75w' but after walking into albert stereo they told me to get an alpine system with sub ends up being cheaper then the one without a sub, the one jb hi offered me was a jl audio system, with sub $1350, i can get particular part links etc what you guys recon ?? driving an astra ts 02

Konrad
3rd November 2009, 05:44 PM
Ive heard theres alot of ****ing around with getting the speaker to fit into the box, whole supplied, being not enough room etc, and Alberts said the same i mean my dad can do it no problem just thinking save 150$ for a carton of beer, and getting my dad to install it for me.

How are you thinking of powering the speakers & sub with a 4 channel amp?

2 x front + 2 x rear + 1 x sub = 5 channels

Unless you were going to tie the sub into one channel pair or bridge a channel pair and run the rears off the head unit etc...IMHO, get a 5 channel amp and do it properly.

Also, for the rear fill the 6.5" 2 ways might be a bit much and drag the sound to the rear...If your just after good solid sound (clear high volume) then no prob, go for it... ;)

Try some of the guys on here first for price...The only difference then is price and whether you are going to do the install yourself...

Seen that "TCCA" car around I'm sure...I've bought H&R springs off them for an STi years ago when they were at Willoughby near the Audi Service centre and Vision Motorsport.

They only sell quality Euro stuff, but be prepared to pay top $$$$ for it...They aren't shy in the price department....
