I have previously played alot with old Opels with the old CiH engines, and my main parts supplier was theese guys in Germany. Their site is in german only, but they do have some absolute delicious engines and engine parts that will make any ambitious project possible. They do alot of motorsport and rally engines and they can get alot of horsepower out of the good old C20 engines. They mainly do NA engines.

Here is an example of a complete engine you can buy off the shelf.

286 horsepower at the flywheel at 8.500rpm
Price : 33.545,00 euro.

But what a fantastic engine... Notice the cylinderhead is turned 180 degrees

33 Euro Grand at that

What's that these days like 50k Australian?

You could get a gti pirelli for that

Mind you though it's not every day you say a 1990s opel N/A 2.0 running at 286bhp; That'd have to be close to BTCC standard wouldn't it?
