Skaifey and Murph could be the dark horses of the day, both with great experience on the mountain, but never discount the HRT factory boys, they did it on the Island and sure will be able to back it up for the longer enduro!!

makes me look forward to Sunday

makes me not look forward to all the crap I have to finish before Sunday

Would like to see Tander/Davison take the flag !
But I just hope the race is as good as Phillip Island was.

Im thinking " The Murp" and Skaife are the dark horse. May put some money on them on sunday .

I cant believe though that Leanne Tander is driving a Ford and she is a HSV Embassitor. Little suprised that Holden Motorsport didnt give her a run.

HRT Tander/Davison on pole. Great save by Tander, not throwing it off after the chase.

And I can't believe Winterbottom in practice, what's he playing at? The third day in a row he's been involved in an incident relating to failing to observe his mirrors... Think he needed a bit more than the $15,000 fine that he received for todays incident.

Tomorrows the day for the HRT boys to prove their dominance and drop the 888 boys down a peg :) (i hope lol)
As for that incident between frosty and taz's car (i know taz wasn't driving, can't remember the other bloke's name lol), frosty appeared to see him in his mirrors, but rather than stick to his line, he decided to move to get out of his way, which just creates the whole two pedestrians on the footpath scenario where you both keep stepping the same direction to get out of eachothers way.
Just a bit of a brain fade i guess.

Anyone seen James Moffat's save in the fujitsu series in the wet coming onto conrod? loved it

I don't think i'd be so kind, after already having two similar incidents and also after the drivers briefing where they've been told not to be weaving at low speeds at any part of the track, especially over a crest.

And Moffat's save was great.

Channel 7's coverage was sensational.
Every year they seem to raise the bar with new angles, in cars, pit lane fly wire cams, better choppers in the sky, Pit lane tech talk etc etc... the list goes on.

Just watch 7 pick up award for "Best TV Sporting Coverage" yet again later this year.

ps: Just ashame Owen Kelly (co driver) put Russell Ingall's car into the wall in the wet,
as they were up there.
He should have kept Tim Slade as his co driver..

Anyway, it all over for another year :)

top race, well done HRT but i think murph and skaifey deserved to get on the podium, clearly the fastest car at the end of the race, fell 1000th of a second short of 3rd...

Was shattered when that safety car came out. Then again that may have saved HRT with their fuel.

wet weather not suit them maybe?

Nah the Skaife/Murphy entry struggled on stone cold wets as well and they lost alot of places in the rain, but still managed a 4th finish so wet weather was an issue for the Holden's as well!!

That was a good save by Lowndes up the top of the mountain, got some serious sideways action on that white line!!

P.S. Mr Corsa could be talking about the Moto GP but then again who knows.....

It certainly is a different noise to the other cars, almost sounded like a six going by.

Yeah they were hanging on just. If there hadn't been that safety car they may have been able to hold them off. Once they all bunched up and restarted Kelly had no chance, once the first guy got past them they were out of position for the next corner so they lost another spot and then it was just a vicious cycle. The top ten cars had incredible speed at the end of 161 laps.

hey my guess on the GRM crew seemed to be a pretty good one!

Shame about that final safety car otherwise Ritter/Besnard might've had it!

This is the second time now that Besnard has had bad luck whilst in first only for Tander to win, I remember the first time (back in 99?) when he was leading driving a havoline AU that glanced into a Lapped Car on the second last lap!

Nah, Murph and Skaife would have taken the silverwear instead of Ritter and Besnard. SGR only had a scheduled 20 sec fuel stop where as all the others stopped for 25 at least. They would have come out almost 8 sec in front of Tander if they weren't caught behind the safety car for 6.2kms!

I'm and Tander fan and i'm stoked that HRT came away with the Enduro quinella, but I feel bad for the SGR team.

BTW, Tander's last win was in 2000 with Jason Bargwanna and until now, had never earned a Bathurst podium and had only finished a handful of the Great Races.
