in the clip of the guy reving the E2 HSV at the end the guys say its in 'transport mode' thats why he couldnt rev it much/hard. I didnt even that they had that kinda thing (map)

I think with E series 2 lots of changes have been made in terms of maps .. One of them is comp mode when you turn the ESP off . It's like the VXR sports mode on .

I think the GTS wheels look alright in the flesh, but you definately need the optioned blacked out spokes.
In terms of overall design, i'm still not convinced even having seen them in the flesh. They don't look as solid as their predecessors.
I was able to compare an 'E Series' to an 'E2' side by side both in silver which were parked around the back. The E Series looks so much tougher with a much wider air dam and narrower nostril 'grille', giving it a very wide and low stance. The E2 next to it looked high and narrow in comparrison thanks to it's much smaller air dam and taller nostril 'grille'. Also the bonnet vents draw everything up even further, adding to the narrow effect. There is so much detailing in the centre of the front end (even more so with the GTS' blacked out centre portion) that it just make everything look high and narrow.

If you were going to get one this would be what I would suggest.

Opt for no spoiler or the Senator small lip spoiler.
Replace the bonnet with a non-vented item.
Colour code the black/grey (Chrome on GTS) plastic inserts above the front nostrils

yeah that was steve askin him :p i had no idea what it was either....then when i was told, i figured it was so the truck driver delivering the cars to the dealer doesnt take it for a flog before dropping it off ....

Don't get me wrong, they're still no VX GTS rim, but they look better with the blacked out spokes, the full silver looks terrible.

I actually missed it, because I was paying attention to all/any red VE's and saw the tigre mica prototype Monaro and thought maybe Shay was colour blind :D

My bad though DOH ! :mad2:

True that, a couple of the VE series 1 rims they had were great designs :)

Pity about these VE series 2 ones though...

It's the Coupe 60 concept unveiled at the Melbourne Motorshow last year. It's a VE Coupe. One hot beast.

Here's a rear shot for you.

Ah, see I thought so...

But it ain't red LOL

Tigre Mica duco or bronze/brown :)

I prefer the later and similar Fusion colour which was featured on the last Monaros :)

That particular model just missed out on a 200 vehicle production run becuase of soaring costs, had they built them it would've been a 240k vehicle

Wasn't that the HRT427?
http://photocarsonline.com/blog/wp-content/uploads/2008/04/holden_hrt_427_concept.jpg

The GTS/R was a concept for a track car for pure off road use and for a one make series.
