OK I am not a fan of the 370Z, but this one just does something for me

It looks sharp

Clean lines... nice deep-dish rims

Agree...

Not overly excited with the 370Z but the cleaner and neater front end and 'not bad' rear spoiler on this one make me look twice and it's up on what was already impressive performance...as said me likey :)

They were quick to recieve the initial 370Z as well :)

It varies over there, they seem to get most vehicles before we do, but we have recieved some model/types before them...

looks good.

I don't mind the looks of the standard 370z.

In some ways I prefer the standard 370z's leather seats and rear. the Nismo looks like a dogs breakfast, but everything else about the Nismo is better.

Doesn't matter, Aust won't get the Nismo.

I will most likely replace the astra turbo with a 370z in a couple of years. Seems to tick the all the boxes for me at a not too unreasonable price of $65k driveaway.

I like Porsches too Gav, but $65k will only get me a 2005 987 Boxster (non S) 5sp manual.

Look at its specs and proven road and track performance statistics - it's no wannabe that's for sure ;)

Looks aside as that's always subjective, the 370Z puts alot of higher dollar vehicles to shame with its performance and levels of equipment :)

Just like big brother the GT-R, this new Z delivers more performance than just about any other car in it's price point and it has alot of kit fitted standard as well...

no your right....maybe its like a pair of K-Swiss with the 4 stripes then, haha

look you are right about the specs and I knew youde come at me with that. maybe in a different colour it would look the business. But as your always mentioning each to their own :)

I do like it but there is something about it putting me off and I cant put my finger to it.

Colour makes a big difference, my fav. for the new 370Z is the grey, put some pics up in the 370Z thread from a while ago :)

It's styling is like most cars either something you like or don't like...for me I like most of it especially the interior, the part I dislike though are both head and tail light design, even in real life they look shite to me...

Performance and handling is awesome, this Nismo is capable of low 5's 0-100km/h, that's as good or faster than any hot hatch even the AWD's and even the base 370Z can beat a BMW 135i on any track - imagine with a twin turbo kit which you'll be able to get for one of these just like the 350Z before it, it'll be one hell of a machine...

from memory, the Aust 370z was 0.02 off the lap time of an EvoX on a damp track.

of course that would have been a pro driver, but shows the capabilities of the 370z in the right hands

i don't think the 370z is selling well.. i don't see many of them around and the fact the listed drive away price on carsales is the same as the retail price.. good for the consumer I suppose.

Yeah, performance is not a concern with one of these, on the Aust. TD (Test Drive) show, it outperformed everything except big brother GT-R and only a couple of other hi po cars, it chomped up all the others on their track, even the top V8 HSV's and FPV's and as mentioned it beat even the sport variant of the 135i...

AFAIK they're around 75k drive away John and they'd be a niche segment vehicle, so you wouldn't see too many around - much better for those who do have one in terms of exclusivity and resale value :)

The 350Z had various packages from factory that brought its pricing all the way to over 100k when it was on sale, not sure what the go is with the new 370Z in this regard...

Basic one is good enough IMO :)

They have been $65k for a while drive away for a while.

well there was until I checked today- a Vic dealer selling for $65k, any choice of colour.

below is one asking for $65,472k drive away in VIC

http://www.carsales.com.au/all-cars/demo/details.aspx?R=7618794&keywords=370z&SearchAction=N&__Ntk=CarAll&__Nne=15&__Dx=mode%20matchany&__D=370z&silo=1011&seot=1&__sid=1239FCDC57E7&__N=1216%201247%201282%201252%201246%204294776694% 20903&__Ns=pCar_PriceSort_Decimal|0||pCar_RankSort_Int32 |1||pCar_Make_String|0||pCar_Model_String|0&__Qpb=true&__Ntx=mode%20matchallpartial&Cr=2&__Ntt=370z&trecs=19

There are a few demos for under $60k drive away.

I don't believe the 350z fully optioned was anywhere near $100,000, more like $75k for the Track including the Rays alloys. I'm unaware of any other options.

even at full retail, it was no more than $80k.

for around the $65k mark, I'd have this over the Evo X MR, STI SpecR.

At the same price, I think I'd go 135i over the 370z. unfortunately the 135i is about $10k more before you option it up.

There you go...for 65k new = bargain :)

The 100k pricing I quoted was pricing I got not long after the 350Z was released, it must have come down after a while, because I even got it in writing from one of the dealers at that time, can't remember all the ins and outs of the set up, but it came to just over 105k drive away...I would never have paid that much for one, was just curious about all there was to be had as at that time, my missus was interested and we were comparing it to the RX8 :)

Agree about the 135i, I too would choose it over a 370Z, but as you say, it'll cost alot more, basic on one of those is just under 80k and by the time you option it up to decent level, you'll need at least 85-90k, this is another vehicle I looked at comparing it to the Audi TTS I'm interested in, only in this case the 135i easily wins out over the Audi in terms of pricing...

Twin Turbo kit :yikes: no I wont be imagining it, haha

Ill take a look at the Grey....its generally my favourite colour when going for a car. I do like the Inside...its the only part I do like infact. Still all this aside ide gladly drive one :)
