Hey Guys

Just thought I'd put up a link to one of the Opel Tuners back in South Africa. They are called Nascar Performance and they specialise in Opel tuning. The owner, Nasen designs his own software, which most of the fast Opels in South Africa use. They've even built the fastest front wheel drive car in South Africa (8.74s 1/4 mile) Its an Opel ofcourse:D! There prices are quite good aswell.

Just thought I'd share!

well considering they are tuners and not webdesigners, that would make sense....

and that kadett runs low 8's. FWD. 2l 16v

nice - it would've been built at the opel factory in SA as well?

shame their web design isn't better. I dunno about most people but I really like being able to see catalogue with prices - makes things soo much easier. Also, most times I cbf ringing them up so online is a far better way to get my business.

most of the work they do is custom, so you need to go in to see them anyway. and their reputation speaks for itself so they dont need to spend unecessary money on marketing. nothing beats word of mouth.

yes, it would have originally been built in the factory in PE, but that car is now so far removed from how it was 20 years ago. even the chassis is modded.

Thanks Calibrated! Couldn't have put it better myself! They are top tuners and I think thats more important than just having some "fancy" website, but no actual tuning skills;)

You can bet the laywers at NASCAR (National American Stock Car Racing) don't know anything about this business.
NASCAR is a registered Patented trade mark worldwide.
Having worked in marketing at Calder Park Thunder dome before the demise of Bob Janes dream.
Bob finally settled with the Americans on names,
"American Stock Car Racing", and "AUSCAR".
As far as the website goes, (as a graphic designer) this site is shite.
They may be good tuners, but first impressions leave a lot to be desired.
There is no excuse for a bad website in 2009.

who cares if the website is shit (looks fine to me)
a companies website says nothing about its quality of work or products.
how about we all just be greatful that ASHVXROZ posted some info that may be useful to members. instead of whinging about something that is totally irrelevant.

Most the places I trust with my car don't even have a website..

quoted for truth.

also, the owners name is nassen. hence, nascar. and there are plenty businesses around the world with the same name. all depends where your trademark is registered ;) i dont think there is such thing as a "worldwide" patent. it needs to be registered in each individual country/state/province.

Thanks Astray! Yeah, I didnt put up the link to show the guys how great the webpage itself is! I just thought it would give some insight to the OpelAus members as to what is available out there TUNING wise! These guys are VERY good at what they do! OPEL TUNING! And there customer service is great, so why bother about how the site looks? Would you prefer getting somebody to tune your car properly, or somebody who just has a fancy website, but doesnt know what to do under the bonnet of your car?

It even states on the website that they are NOT AFFILIATED WITH NASCAR IN THE US!

Hey guys

I recieved an email from Nasen at Nascar and he sends his apologies about the "poor" web page design. They are currently working on a new design:D Just thought I'd post a few pics of the Nascar OPC and its dyno graph. Just a little something to show the guys what IS more important to a tuning company, rather than web-design - Tuning cars!:D:D

Interesting...he's got the turbo rotated 180 degree's and everything on the other side of the car!!!

Intake, exhaust, radiator expansion tank etc...Wonder why?? Prob just a space/packaging thing to fit everything in. Nice work though...

Yeah, I think its just for space reasons, cos its probably a bigger aftermarket turbo

most definitely. but seeing as nassen can get his fwd kadett into the 7's. im sure he'll help sort out those traction issues. i think the 12.61 was run on street tyres. i'll find out for sure. some MT's would go well :D
