I've been trying to find a rear vxr diffuser on uk ebay for a while now when this (http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/VAUXHALL-ASTRA-VXR-rear-air-diffuser-REAL-CARBON_W0QQitemZ270434813789QQcmdZViewItemQQptZUK_ CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM?hash=item3ef72bc75d&_trksid=p3286.c0.m14) popped up... ironically the cheapest diffuser inc. shipping I've seen on there. Shame I don't see it working on a black astra

The carbon actually works really well on the black astras. Nice and subtle accent details.
Check out the 888 stealth editions (there's only 4 of them, but there should be pics around)
they've got carbon fibre mirror covers, carbon fibre v-grille and cf boot strip.:)
Will give you an idea of how it looks.

Personally I think that would look GREAT!!! Carbon and a black car always looks good IMHO...

If I had a VXR, that would be on its way to my house ASAP!!!! I likey a lot!!!!

I think the chrome boot strip would have to be carbon dipped for it to work... and the painted sections of the opel badge would too. Only problem is I don't know any carbon dippers... and I'm not usually someone to try something different :p. Very tempted to buy it now though after seeing some 888 pics.

Only two left now :) figure I can always paint it if I don't like it - it is the cheapest diffuser I have seen landed, cheaper then HSV. Thanks for aquadip sooty! Car's going to look quite different in two months..

These are real carbon though, not he dipped type. With the chrome strip you would either go without it, do it in matt black, gloss black or the black chrome they do...

Either way, real carbon looks 1000 times better than the dipped stuff and this would look cool. They do a front lip too!!!!!

I can see them getting a bit of business through this thread :p. I have to note though, I don't have a vxr - just wanting a 3" exhaust and prefer it to look balanced, ie not hanging off one side. -shrugs-

Few good ideas so far :). Definitely will have to do something to the chrome strip though for it to work... if black chrome looks as good as it sounds, considering that.

Seen it before on carbon and it looks amazing...There is a Black Golf near my house that has carbon everything and the strips are black chrome and matt black. It looks AWESOME!!!! But I do have a carbon fetish....

Haha. Does sound good... just a shame that it's the lightest panel on the car that's been remade in cf :p

Will go well with the black or anthracite team dynamic 1.2 wheels I've been planning forever too.

Nice....I have been looking for a carbon bonnet for my TS SRi-T for a while.

Seen a few from the UK, but when they want $700 to ship it I just can't justify it...Still want one though... ;)

This link may help you:

He had a standard black VXR... changed the rear diffuser to grey, then painted the rear chrome strip black

I wouldn't mind changing mine either, but for the cost/effort involved... don't think i will

Agree, CF works well with black duco on any car type...

Can look a bit cheasy on lighter colours though...

Here's the front (http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/VAUXHALL-ASTRA-VXR-FRONT-LIP-SPLITTER-REAL-CARBON_W0QQitemZ270434817881QQcmdZViewItemQQptZUK_ CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM?hash=item3ef72bd759&_trksid=p3286.c0.m14) for anyone interested.. looks pretty decent on the nurbs imo.

I would def put on a nurb...White and Carbon....YUM!!!!!

If I was to re-spray my TS, it would either be Alpine White (BMW), Bayside (Nissan) or WRC (Subaru) Blue...

The guy that is selling these actually owns a nurb. He has sent each individual part of his car to get the mould made for the parts. He also does the engine covers, inserts for the vxr rear, where the reflectors sit, door handles, etc etc.

He is the cheapest that any of the UK guys have seen too.

I know - amazing prices really. Landed is cheaper then a plastic diffuser (comes with the reflector inserts too) then buying one from HSV... go figure. The front splitter in carbon looks great on the nurbs too :) - wouldn't work on black though I don't think.

Is it sad that my Forza VXR now has a carbon diffuser?

Actually I've always wanted to get another vert like mine and have it painted in Ibis white (Audi) it's the whitest of all the white ducos out there ATM :)

I've seen a resprayed white TS vert from Europe (wasn't Ibis though) and it looked sensational, the black soft top and red leather interior adds to it as well...:eek1:

Hmmmm giving myself ideas again...:arf:

Been waiting for him to do a carbon fibre bonnet for the AH Astra.
Just not sure how great it would look against the Arden Blue.

He does them for the Corsa VXR.
