View Full Version : PIAA Globes....any good or steer clear?

hi all

As the heading asked the PIAA globes are suppose to be pretty good. Has any one used them in there opel or better yet do they have any pics they can show me...very interested in getting some for the H

havent used them but everyone I hear only says good things about PIAA. Exxy but worth it.

Phillips, Osram bulbs are every bit as good and cost much less

As above PIAA are some if not the best and the Phillps particularily are very close.

Be careful of the bluer globes as the light from the higher heat range halogen globes is much reduced from a standard 3500K to 5000K globe.

I have a set in ATM love the look light, but a bit dim on country roads at night

Gman what K have you got running in your car at the moment? I was looking at the 4500K ones in the H?

Mine are 8000K globes, thats why the light is a bit dim but very blue.

A 4500K one will be very bright...I have used the PIAA Super Chrome 4800K globes and they are very good. Just expensive sometimes.

and you use them here in Oz? I have seen 6000K ones as well...sort of tossing up between the 2. Recommendation?

The 6000K or 8000K globes are really going to be for city driving and the looks only.

The 4000K to 5000K globes are going to be a whiter and much stronger light.

I have used PIAA for ages and love them. If you want them for a good strong light, get a 4500K globe. They will be plenty bright enough and have a very white light...

Autobacs, Tokyo Prefecture, Japan ... ;)

eBay is about the only place you'll get them in Oz....

sweet just bought some from the states. 5100K...should look good on the H haha can't wait till they arrive
