Just make sure you check all the normal things, water pump replaced at 60k, belts and tensioners, radiator over flow bottle hasnt got any hair line cracks around the little tubes that run into it, no smoke on a cold start, no smoke when boosting, car pulls smoothly. Oil and filters changed regularly either every 5k or 7.5k (even more so with modified ones) and log/service book filled out.

Thanx for that. I also thought that it is a bit pricey. Going to the dealership tomorrow and will test drive. Will see if i can get them to drop the price. Man i hate being out here in the sticks!! Those options are just not available here!

i would say a ah diesel would be your better bet honestly.. that is if you like the ah shape.. you still get that turbo kick :p and only sips at fuel good for country :D

I prefer the G shape. They are all great but the G just has that "look" about it. Thanx for the advice though.

IMHO and going by market values, it is too high a price tag - but it is being sold through a dealer and you'd expect a higher than private sale price point...part of the justification is you'll have a warranty (shabby as it is most times with S/H vehicles) but better than none from a private sale, that's something to consider...

Personal opinion - if you have your heart set on a TS turbo hatch, I'd take the time and try and find one with lower km's... :)

Speaking for myself, I actually like ALL Astra models that have ever been made (although not all the various variants of the models) and the new one is looking good too ! hope it comes to Aust. :)

Personally though, love the interior of the TS sri-t compared to the AH, which feels a lot bigger imo.

Nah, will hang onto her for the time being. Just will upgrade her as i go along. It will be a hand me down to the missus!!
