+1 with Poita, wouldn't care about the Underbelly ties, just want it cos it's a gorgeous car which is a piece of australian muscle car history!!

The VS SS which was in Series 1 Underbelly was for sale a while back and they weren't asking any fancy price cos it was on the show!!

Back then, if you were in a typical office job your pay would be around $20-30 p/w so yes top dollar for the time...:)

It's normal to be a fan of products contemporary to your time frame - but future generations will think the same on all that you think is cool ATM ;)

Being a car enthusiast, I'm absolutely wrapped I've got to live through a period of being able to own and drive 1970's and even 1960's vintage muscle cars, all you gen Y's knocking them have got no idea how much fun they were and the good ol days of being able to drive street registered/legal cars with superchargers hanging out the bonnet and so many other such like things you could get away with, golden days for car freaks :cornut:

I like modern vehicles and ever increasing modern technology, but having experienced those blasts from the past, alot of the thrill and excitment is just gone these days...

Totally agree, cars are now just too easy to drive, esp, abs, traction, blah blah while great for every day, there was just something about the old cars which set them apart from the new.

That's fair enough nicolaim but given the opportunity to drive a classic Holden beast with a good old school S/C or even fully worked V8 I guarantee you'd be a convert :)

Nice and certainly more in most peoples price range, but that classic Aston is something else - 1/4 of a million bucks though :(

can we come in for test drives?

I've never seen a potential buyer take one for a drive to be honest.

The showroom looks awesome at the moment getting ready to ship the cars across to olympic park for motorex - mustangs, monaros, toranas, ferrari's, f250's, choppers and plenty more cars... very different to the normal assortment of auctioned cars
