Hey guys,

Can someone with a TIS manual tell me if there are Astra G SRi (Z22SE) ECU wiring diagrams, that show the specfic function for each wire? Not the colour, the fuction, i.e which is signal, +tive, Ref etc..
This is all I need, so don't want to buy/obtain one if the info isn't there.

Cheers

Some of the sensors have limited tech information .. in so far as it will only tell youw which pin/wire is the measurement signal.

In most cases you can figure out what you need with a multimeter .. a CRO would be better.

Cheers Dave.

That's actually all I need. Just the signal wire for each sensor.
Is this different to the diagrams you have already given me?

it's all there.. in some sections they give you measurement values and waveforms, takes a bit of hunting sometimes though.

Ahh, ok. Those are the diagrams I have already.
It must be my limited knowledge of wiring diagrams (and electronics in general). Would anyone care to explain it to me?
As mentioned I need to know which are the signal wires.

Interesting...

I too wouldn't mind knowing which ones of those are signalling wires :)

Or does anyone know which wire or where to go to - to get the engine rpm signal from on a TS Astra ??? TIA. :)

You get the RPM signal from the crank sensor.
The Z22SE has a Magnetic Variable Reluctor (Mag VR) sensor. Has and A and B (on the diagram) wires. I just need to work out which one is +ive and which is -ive.

Not sure what sensor you have. Either Hall effect (3 wire) of Mag VR (2 wire).

Thanks for that Daiflu, I'll check it out as to which sensor my TS turbo has...

I'll have to find out exactly which wire it is to get the rpm signal from...

You can get it from the radio connector too .. as the radio has a speed-controlled volume function.

Thanks daaaaavek, this has been answered in another thread in the turbo section...

Here's a part copy of the post for others requiring the same info :)

- Speed wire is Blue with a red strip and is on Pin 27

- RPM Signal is Light Green wire and is on Pin 20
