Hi Guys,

Just purchased a new Astra CDTi and needed to fill in some time until I take delivery!

Stumpled across this forum and thought what better way to get into even more trouble with the financial controller by planning a few mods before I get the car!!

Anyways - there seems to be a wealth of knowledge on here so looking forward to reading up, and perhaps even contributing from time to time!!

Now do I need this "greenbox" already....

i sold mine second hand about 5 weeks ago to someone for $400...
brand new from the UK you're looking about $600...
or about $800 for the new CRD-T (trust me...it's good)
where you from mate? be more than happy to take you for a spin if you're in vic to show you what a difference it makes.

I am in Sydney unfortunately otherwise I would take you up on the offer.

Seems like an awesome bang for buck mod! What is it going to do to my warranty??

nothing, if you ever have warranty issue, its a 1 min removal to put your car back to stock :cornut:

hmmm...trying to think if there are any oiler owners up in syd...i know there's at least one in canberra.
As for your warranty....would void the motor, clutch etc it if they knew about it....but they'll never find out, it's simply a 30 second job to remove it any time you go to visit holden :)

Welcome Tipsy, hope that's not how you drive...

You'll love the diesel, I'll have to see what they are like with the greenbox, so when one of the Sydneyites has one, maybe I'll come for a ride.

I don't know whether my wife wants it to go any better. As she only drives it mainly to school and back and other local stuff, I'd be happy if it saved a bit more fuel too. We'll see about the money for mods, I don't think it'd be seen as a priority.
