Vauxhall and Opel to be Italian owned?

Interesting chatter in today's media about Fiat posssibly making a bid to buy GM Europe - Fiat management is talking to the German Govt about financial support to buy Opel. An Italian Astra could be on the cards!

Apparently Fiat is so well cashed up that they could buy GM Europe without having to go into debt.
