Hello guys, I need help with choosing headlight bulbs (main beam), as I have 4300K HID in my low beam, and I currently using some mtec super white bulbs as high beam, but it does jack all! I noticed the mtec is whiter and thats about all it gives me, I can see further with the OEM yellow ones.

I am now looking at Philips X-treme power and Osram Night Breaker, any suggestions/input would be appreciated. If you guys have other brands, I may consider it as well, thanks.

I'm running Narva arctics in mine. The funny thing is, when you look at the actual globe, they are the Osrams just re-boxed and cheaper.

How much would you rate the Narva arctics? (1 being the shit one, 10 being the best)

you can get mini ones now, take a little longer to warm up, but about half the size.
and you should be able to fit them behind the reo for your front bar

Well I had the nightbreakers in my G and to be honest they didnt make that much of a difference and they were about $50 from ebay. My HID's on the other hand were the best $120 I spent on the car and the difference is 10-1. Im sure youll be able to make room under the hood if you want them enough, nothing is impossible. IMHO the nightbreakers arent worht it when you can spend a little more and get HID's. When i had my 8000K in, I never needed high beem.

have a look at this ebay link to H7 Osram night breakers....was looking for some HID for the boat and came across this.....look at the chart below. it really doesnt show that much of a gain despite all the talk.

Thanks guys, I decided to give Osram nightbreakers a go, only to test out to the specifications they are advertising. I also ordered a pair of Philips bluevision 4000K, if the nightbreakers are shit, I have something to play with. :)

I've got the Nightbreakers (wife's Astra 5 door runs Narva +50) and so far reasonably happy with their performance . . . however, it still comes down to the crappy reflector set-up in the G's which is what affects the lighting performance more than anything else. I've come to the conclusion that no matter what globes we end up running (short of proper HID/Xenon set-up) the light output on low beam is only ever going to be average.

..thinking of going to the x-treme's on my G.. But, hate the look of how the parking lights and new bulbs look like shyte together because one is yellowish, and the other is white...

Is there a parking bulb that is the same colour as the mains?

I just put the phillips parker lights in that you get with the kit and they are pretty white. Tried the Osrams and Narva ones but they were too yellow. If your not gonna have a problem using LED ones, they are as white as your going to get.
