Just released from Biante model cars.
Twin set featuring the new W427 in Panorama Silver, and teh VL SS Group A
1:43 size, so only small. $99.95 and limit of 3000.
I'm tempted, pity they arent in a bigger size, like 1:18

wonder what their thinking was to pair those two models up together?

Correct me if i'm wrong, but wasn't the W427 show car the same colour as the original Walky? I think Biante might have seen the W427 as a reincarnation of the VL. You can get the VL in 1:18 for about $350 if you're lucky, but i'd rather have the VE in the larger scale.

You are correct and wasn`t the W427 to celebrate 20 years of HSV ?
Hence Biante combining the first HSV VL and the 20th anniversary show car W427.
Does that seem to make sense ?

cause 1988 was the first time they started the hsv lines, like the walkenshaw, and last yr was the 20th anniversary of hsv, so a commerative old and new models?

lol we posted at the same time kabel!!

The 'W' in W427 stands for Walkinshaw.

Just ordered mine!

I checked one out when 1st released at the Melb. motor show...

Liked lots of individual items about it, the wheels, brakes and that beautiful LS7 engine which is what really makes this car special, didn't like the bright red interior much and as an o/a package also not to my liking, but I certainly wouldn't say no to one if I had lots of free or spare cash to burn :)

Yep, same one actually. I didn't take a good look at the motorshow, as there were a few people around it.
Got to get a bit more intimate with it yesterday ;)
I agree, highlights are the brakes and wheel package, and while I thought the interior was nice, it wouldn't be my first choice.
