Don't know about more power, but certainly it will be louder! To get more power replacing the cat with a hi-flow item will be more advantageous than simply removing a resonator. Stainless steel exhausts apparrently induce the nice popping sound, look good and means more polishing. But it basically comes down what you like and $$$.

I'm thinking of going through with a relatively straight through stainless steel exhaust of about 2-2.25 inches, extractors, and a conservative tip (not too much of a fan of canons on euro cars).

Exhausts are one of those things that you either get right, or you get wrong.

Either way it costs for a system that sounds good and will increase performance.

There are very few turbos in Perth. I doubt anyone would know the diff between 2.2 and turbo...

i love em...custom made. they are actually single with a Y pipe join. cost about $270 for the tips only ...no muffler!

Nobody should put a turbo body kit on a standard astra. I believe that a car should walk the walk if it talks the talk . That's why I can't stand those lancers that have evo body kits :evil: :D
