yes it looks horrible. previous owner clearly had no taste, and the car is waaaay overpriced....

but. imagine it with that scoop taken off.... bad boy styled black bonnet or back to factory colour, spray the wing back to factory colour, and different wheels?

fair offer? around 13-14?

i reckon you could save it with an evo style bonnett scoop (bonnet may already have holes in it)

and if you sprayed the entire top half of the car black - maybe you could get away with it.. maybe..

13-14? i think the guy will ask if you're having a laugh.. but thats what i would offer.. your bargaining chip is - imagine what it will cost to make this car look right again!

probably the usual.

gearbox failures, engine failures, etc. will cover each item up to a maximum cost, and you pay the extra.

If you just lose the bonnet scoop, it's ok IMO :)

The black bonnet and rear spoiler seem to work for me with the star silver colour...

I cant believe the KM's now, six months ago when i was looking there was heaps around the 55-60,000km. But in saying that i brought mine with 58,000km and it now has 75,000km in about six months. So i guess thats the norm.

possibly. its not the only one out there though. he's advertising waay over redbook's top price. most expensive one for sale at the moment, better examples for cheaper too. i'll print them all out, and show him. i want that car for 13-14 with 3-4k my way, trading my astra. otherwise.. noooooo bingo..

ideally of course i would like mine to sell privately for +-20k.

hmm doesn't sound too bad

obviously don't give him the green box etc, there's a bit more profit, but I'm probably just repeating what you're already thinking

posted elsewhere, but I just bought an immaculate arden blue sri-t ,72000k's from victoria for 15,900... not a bad deal as it had 4 almost brand new potenza's on it, and is a modification virgin :)

About the first astra...just tell the salesguy it's buttugly and if he knocks some $$$ off it you can save him from embarrasing his caryard any further.

..beware sri-ts with a non standard front bar like the cheap talon version. I believe there's even a chinese copy of that bar floating around.

99% of the time it will have been a front end repair job..even a repairable writeoff vehicle. Simply because the oem bar is extraordinarily expensive and hard to get, and backyard repairers/wreckers want to make a quick dollar.

If the rest of the bodykit is missing, then it's a dead certainty it's had a good hit up front.

maloo97

agree to disagree on that last post.

At the end of the day its personal choice.
I do like the stock front bar as do most people.

Although A aftermarket front bar changes the look of the vehicle its not just another stock sri T.

If it was me I would leave it stock, But each to there own.
