Took a few rough images tonight. I'll take some proper ones with the DSLR when I get back there. I think they still had the transport blocks in the Senator! haha

I like the gas cylinder in the spare wheel well. I had the notion that holden would do that fitment in the end sometime. The flexible design of the spare wheel well suggests it could be used as a location for a LPG tank or a hybrid battery pack.

Was there for hours 1st thing yesterday, thoroughly enjoyed it...will be going back sometime after Tuesday this week to see the new MPS 3 in the flesh :)

Took 108 pics so won't bother putting them up, way too many, but the highlight for me, besides the many new models there and my own personal favourites was this one :)

Would've been better if they didn't just have a mock up there though. Nevertheless it was superb. As was the prototype chassis, interior etc.

Agree, loved the whole display, very thorough exhibition of the make up of this vehicle, I'd love to own the final product :)

It's just due to the inspiration being from the 'generic hotrod architecture', strongly influnced by the Ford Roadster from the 30's.

Yes, it's very similar to those vehicles above ^^^^ but also has a bit more of a modern touch to it with some of its design cues...like the Audi R8 style side intake, the wheels are an awesome looking design too :)

I actually don't like that Prowler above, but the one at the show was making me drool :D

No not the basic A5, but boy do I love the S5 and there's an RS5 around the corner...

I'd even have an S5 over an E92 M3 and that's not even in the same class as the M3, so I can imagine how good the RS5 will be...

Also can't wait to see the new RS4 apparently it's going to kick the M3's butt good and proper just like the current model kicked the E46 M3's butt, Audis just keep getting better :)

Pity as always about the price tags :(

Just got back from the motor show. It was interesting to say the least. Saw Mats RT20, awsome monaro with 345's on the back and my pic was RS6:yikes:

This thing was just mental, from its huge brakes to its even bigger numbers.... 426kw with over 650nm. Man i would love to give that a squirt;)

Yes, it's a beast - at the show Audi had the new A4 sedan with the same powerplant, it can do 0-100km/h in almost a flat 6sec. not too bad at all :)

The Porker stand was there last year Pete and as far as I can remember so was Merc. I'll have to check my '08 Melb. show pics folder to confirm, at this time last year things were still good, the economic meltdown started by about mid year...

I'm absolutely spewing it'll go to a biannual event, as this is one event I look forward to going to every year without fail

I went last night too, not really anything really exciting, got to check out the new 7 series which looks absolutely awesome (plus i started it up by accident, sales guy got a bit of a fright), the Lambo's were typically hot (as well as their supporting models) also finally got to see what Ange has been yabbing on about the last few months with the TTS, damn nice car!!

Holden's stand for the first time for me ever was disappointing, nothing real special there, and was not a big fan of the ex Walkinshaw VE that had been converted to gas, or that blue Monaro barge, what a waste of a nice Monaro!!!

But to make myself happy again, i got a facial (supposedly) at the Loreal stand!! (it's melbourne, they call it "metro")

My favourite stand though was Toyota.............

and it had nothing to do with the cars!!!!!!!!

Just checked my pics from '08 and '07 and '06 - think your right Matt as I don't have any pics of Mercs or Porkers from last year, thing is I'm not a fan of the Porkers and never take pics of them anyway, so I can't be certain, but I do have pics of Mercs from '07 and '06 so they were definitely there '06 and '07 :)

I reckon if the owner took you for a spin, you might still say you don't like it, but there wouldn't be any hiding of the huge wet patch explosion in your pants :D

Ohhhhhh i'm a big fan of power and the LS1, and yes 720hp would get a big reaction in my pants, but i seriously hated the look of it, just looks dated and bodgy!!!!

Put that motor in a stock bodied (but hot as you'd agree) Monaro and i'd love it to bits!!!!

Ok the 7 has comfort access, which if the key is anywhere near the car, it can be started by pressing the start button without the key in the ignition, so i assumed the sales guy had the key in his pocket, so i jumped in and gave it a crack and whammo the barge roared into life which was followed up by a fearful stare from the sales dude!!!
