Hey mate,

Yeah you were speaking to me.

I been browsing around for ideas on parts for a customer.

Nuggs: Not a problem let me know when you guys are ready :)

Thanks for the welcome guys.. i have always considered buying an Astra as i really do like the look of the Astra turbos. I was looking for awhile but unfortunately out of my daily driver price bracket.

Welcome to OA Tenji

Was it a silver VXR by any chance?

What sort of parts are you looking at importing.
I'm thinking about sourcing some cams, or possibly getting mine reprofiled.
I'll be coming in soon for a chat.

Good to see you guys on the forums too. I'm sure there are quite a few members that will be heading your way.

Nah it wasnt a vxr.

Well not really looking at bringing things in as such. However i do have a customer who is after some bits for his car.

I got an idea on what to go for for fmic.

However lookign at ecu, exhaust and cai.

I been in contact with milltek in regards to their exhaust systems is there anyone else i should try in Australia?

SMB are your best bet for Aussie stuff.
www.bestmufflers.com (http://www.bestmufflers.com) have done some Opel work too

Alright cool thanks guys.

Yeah the Milltek exh systems are awesome quality but maybe a bit too expensive with the exchange rates atm so have to look at other options to give the customer.

Also any idea on cai setups?

I prefer to try and find off the shelf parts and if all else fails i will custom make them.

CNBLU

not too sure if there are any off the shelf CAI.

doing a custom job is not so hard anyways. can alwasys come down to have a look at my set-up if that helps.

its not hard it just requires time, which i would prefer to allocate our fabricators time to other bigger projects if you get what i mean.

Heres what mine looks like. Ideally you want to get rid of the cross-over pipe....

So from this....

to this...

http://i86.photobucket.com/albums/k104/Hott_For_You/enginebay.jpg

All you need is 2 90deg bends, 1 being a 70mm to 60mm reducer and the other just a 70mm. Also need to extend the AFM cables just a little bit.

Hope this helps.

Looking at getting the EDS map for my car but the only hardware I can find that wil read/write to my ecu is the Optican Dual Flasher or Hybrid Flasher. Not sure if you can do it through a tech 2, sure someone does though.
