Thanks mate. I add the border in an image editing program. Just make the canvas bigger, turn it black and add the grey line around it.

Thanks Jay. Yeah the waterfall is Ellenborough, went out there a few weeks ago. The walkway is somewhere in Laurieton, just stumbled upon it.

probably the river walk. did you go up north brother? if not, you really should.
middle brother is good too, but i wouldnt take the corsa up, its all dirt and rocks, the dust and stone chips would stand out like dogs balls. part of the road to ellenborough is dirt too isnt it?

Or you could use an easy program like this that does multiple files at once :cornut:

Thanks mate, yeah i noticed your wire close ups, good stuff!

Im just using a point and shoot actually...Canon IXUS 75. I would love a D-SLR but for now the ixus is working well.

I should mention tho that ive hacked the camera so it has a lot more functions than a standard one :D

expand again by .... in black

something like that? and rough sizes you use

1. Expand canvas by 60 pixels horizontally and vertically and centre image
2. Add a rectangle that sits 25 pixels from each side and has a 1 pixel border
3. Make rectangle white
4. Change transparency of rectangle to 50% (you can toy with the transparency to get the look you want, or even try different colours)
5. Save image

Of course, those sizes only work for web sized images, for printing at large sizes everything would have to be increased :)

Im guessing you are meaning the still life ones...they were taken with no flash using a torch shining downwards.

Sweet triptych Matt.
Taken as a panorama and broken up? or 3 individual shots?
If 3 shots, how did you get the spacing right?
BTW...really like the still life's too
