Get a paintshop to patch them up and paint it.
Done. Should only around $100 all up.

only the holden centre badge has holes.

all the lettering can come off by sliding some fishing line behind it. then carefully use metho spirits to take off the gluey residue.

No it won't but it will take the wax of your paint, just make sure that you polish her up afterwards

Kupu, have a look here (http://svr58.ehostpros.com/%7Eopela58/phpBB2-3/viewtopic.php?t=184).

Unfortunately I don't know what a ming coat is so I can't help you there.

all that did was take me back to the home page hun.....

ming jeeps my car shiny permanently....

just a few things off the website to help explain.....

Q: How is the Ming "Mirror Finish" different form a wax or polish coating?
A: Actually, Ming is neither a wax or a polish. In fact, Ming is more of a process than a product. The Ming process enhances the natural paint finish by filling the pits and valleys (sometimes called pores) in every painted surface where dirt, grime and pollutants can collect.

Q: Yes, but doesn’t my car’s paint need some kind of covering to protect it?
A: No, not if the paint has been treated and strengthened. The Ming process bonds the paint making it much more resistant than otherwise. The paint is then protected from the damaging effects of dirt, grime, sunlight and pollutants. The only upkeep necessary is a gentle, regular washing with Ming Car Wash Soap or a comparable product. You need not wax or polish your vehicle again.

I just updated that link... try again.

From your Q and A's it sounds like standard paint protection type stuff.

I would think you will be OK. But you might just need a slight buff where the badges used to be to get it back to good.

Don't know what's going on there.

OK., if you go to the main forum page, go to the How To section and then scroll down to my post on removing badges.

That or search for "floss" by "rhino"

You can have you entire car polished including buffing SOME areas for little over 100$ at Crystal Car Wash down at Kingsford.

I was gonna go there until my money flew away.

I guess :?: everyone knows it's a Astra so you could put a Merc badge on it, most people wouldn't care .... so long as you feel good about (personal choice) then that's all that matters.
