They were $600 the last time I checked.

Would these fit an Astra?

Yeah? Hmmm, 245s... They won't rub, will they?

I'm guessing there ARE legal guidelines with tyres and sizes. Anyone have more info?

All depends on the offset of your wheels as to whether they will rub, the 235's are obviously fine on the VXR's...

Ok, research says that the max. diameter of your new tyres can't exceed 15mm more than the original factorys. Then the plot thickens because I also read that the government might increase this amount to 50mm.

So which number on the rubber is the diameter?

rollin diameter or the diameter of the rim?

the rolling diameter isnt normaly printed on the tyres, but if u can find the book the tyre shops use u can look it up in a second

245 - width
35 - sidewall
19 - rim size

245 - Width in metric mm's
35 - percentage of the width (eg. 35% of 245mm = 85.75mm)
19 - rim size
93Y - Load index (93) and Speed index Y - If these dont meet the requirements on your vehicle's tyre placard then it is also illegal to fit them on your car.

you had a thread up asking about your current tyres which are 235mm wide being possibly too skinny for your wheels so with these on they should fit perfect or at least alot better
