Got a comment today on my wheels. A friend of mine noticed that the lip of the rim sticks out too much from the tyre and doesn't sit flush so he reckons the tyres are too narrow for the rim. He also reckons that this would make for bad handling as the rims will be moving inside the tyre.
For the record, I am using 19/35/225 tyres on 19"/8.5" rims. I don't know much about tyres but I am assuming he was referring to the width of the tyre, i.e. 225? In which case, should I be going for 235+?
And to be honest, I was never happy with the look of the tyres. The profile "curves" up too much to meet the tread instead of it meeting at a 90 degree angle (I hope that made sense!).
Anyone recommend some tyres for the future?
