Darkest legal for anything after 1994 is 35%... But these days no one says anything which is good :)... I have 15%, no problems so far *knocks on wood*

Wow, that's pretty cheap. I did get a quote for $170, but that was by some guy operating from his backyard and I don't want to imagine what materials he'll be using. Like everything, I prefer to pay a bit extra to get quality and peace-of-mind :)

By the way, how are you adapting to driving at night with the 15's? The first night, reversing was like a guessing game!

Looks ok, little too dark for me, but can't get a real idea of it as it looks different in all the pics...o/a dosn't look like 15%, it looks like 25 or 30% might just be the pics ???

I've seen 15 and 10% on some cars and it's so dark that from the outside you can't see through from any angle even in bright sunlight...

With tints I've gone the other way around recently, ie: the lighter transfer rates - I've got 50% on my vert and it looks so classy revealing just the right amount of the interior and giving the car a perfect look, I'll never go back to 30% or legal limit tints again...

The other advantage with the lighter tints is that they'll keep both you and the interior of the car cooler, because they'll reflect rather than absorb heat (the blacker the colour, the more heat they absorb) have compared it to the tint on all my other cars which is legal limit at 30% and it is infact much cooler in my vert :)

and that price is very cheap, i always wonder what the quality will be like after a $150 tint job is complete. Since they have several people working on the car one side of the car will always be different to the other.

always make sure you wind the windows down when reversing eh. you should try driving with 5% :p

back when i started my business i had 2 layers of tint on my car. Didnt have any dark stuff yet so thought i'd give it a go. Incredibly secure glass (can never be smashed because of thickness) but incredibly hazy.

Most places do illegal tint but under the counter, cash on hand and no invoice. or the invoice book with the big X on it. :p

Depends on who does it. Solartint don't go darker than 20% (for some dumb reason). Some guys go as low as 5%. The guy that did mine would do any tint, but on the invoice he just wrote "supply and fit new windscreen" :D He did warn me that 15 would be too dark and he even commented on how dark they were when I picked up my ride, which is weird since he's been in the business for 30 years.

most city cops have better things to do than pull u over because ur tint is too dark... just be careful in small towns... thats why when i go back to albury to see the parents we take the magna lol
