Justcar insurance is a lot cheaper for some models eg my WRX - they only charge me 1050/yr - everyone else was around the $1900 mark but.

- no choice of repairer
- windscreen extra
- no rating one for life (you have to pay to protect it)

but I figure - If I'm saving 800/year - its OK.

The best I found for the H Turbo was $1250 with SGIC. RAA didn't even want to know about it!! I never got a quote from Just Car insurance. Good timing however, mine is due for renewal in the next couple of months so we will see :)

Im paying $1350 p/a for my Astra G SRi-T an im 19. It was the same price when i was 18 to. Thats with AAMI, i did there driver training course which made it $150 a year cheaper. Im happy.

I am with AAMI as well, completed the Advanced Driver Course as well as Chrissn89, 10% off with the total of $1150 per year, I am very happy with it.

one of my neighbours sons did a few years ago and in a no fault accident was told he had to pay for one third of the repair bill....

well at least thats the story that his outraged father told me when i asked where the skyline had gone

You can always lower your premium just by making your excess higher. i'd rather be saving money now, not 'if' or 'when' something goes wrong...

I have been looking at all the different car insurance co's and justcar has the best quote at just over $750 in comparison to my current insurer who will want $1100 for the next year....

The trade off however is the excess.. Justcar has the standard $400 excess but then it has a 'vehicle' excess of $900 (on top of the standard)!!
