Take Insignia chassis and let the yanks do the design. engines are a direct injection 3L v6 and a 3.6l V6.

I like it. It looks very aggessive in the front... Its an Insignia just with a different front bar and grille and Tail Lamps . It was only a matter of time before GM USA started using the GM Europe developed cars . It started with the Saturn Brand importing the Astra. The American Market is changing. i know when i was in California 2 years ago i seen lots of Audi's and Mercedes Benz on the road.

I gotta say I think they're both a bit off the mark.
I was hoping the Insignia may grow on me but it seems too short in the wheelbase, too long in the front & rear overhangs and too fussy around the rear deck and detailing.
The LaCrosse is not my cup of tea either. Interior still too American, although no longer in that flat, railway-sleeper kind of way. Ford has saved that one for its new Taurus.

Nah
Its exterior styling cues to me at least have been too heavily influenced by the current Camry.
