View Full Version : What's your NON-GM vehicle?

Ok now folks

Considering that quite a number of people on this forum have invested in NON-Opel branded vehicles for whatever personal reasons, I feel that now is as good a time as ever to show n' tell such vehicles.

Now this thread is NOT intended to incite some sort of "your car looks shit" or "my car can whip the arse off your car" type flamage... Merely for display purposes.

Sooo... post up those wheels!

G'day Peter

Ok, this Citroën is known as a CX 2400 Pallas C-Matic, that is, a 2.4L Semi-Automatic.

Built in France yet modified subtly by Citroën Australia to Australian (and South African conditions), the C-Matic is essentially a clutchless manual, whereby a torque converter takes the place of the clutch, and which is operated via an Electro-Valve (or solenoid) which allows for gear changing.

The following Wiki is a fascinating read on its history

Wiki on Citroën CX Models from 1974-1991 (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Citro%C3%ABn_CX)

I have a 1985 Holden Barina / Suzuki Swift. However that's in getting the clutch done, might get done sometime.

My boyfriend has a BA XR6 Turbo. That's a sweet car!

yeah it can be, we'v got some throwover seat covers to put on the front seats when we are just drivin around to keep em clean.

its not too bad tho, its just the seats, roof, hatch and door trims that have been done, the carpet and lower parts of the doors are still the dark grey so its not too over done. just give it a rub over with some leather cleaner/conditioner every so often to keep it good

That's actually quite funny Pauly. I've never (legally) had the plates out on a car! Might be some play on the spelling that you've seen out and about. Just like my ENTICE plates.. I've seen ENT1CE, ENTYCE, and NTICE...makes me chuckle each time. I had some serious offers for both of them a while ago, but I didnt need the money....

Anyway, good to see you noticed! They were originally going to be on one of my 124's which was to be a street/show car, with ABARTH running gear.. decided against it in the end...

Least in this heat, we have somewhere cool to seek refuge.
