Question about SRi grilles

Okay, so I ordered this thing here:

Much to my dismay, didn't fit my ride - the lugs were misaligned with the inserts on my bumper, the top 3 screw holes didn't line up with the ones on the crash bar, and overall, a "smaller" fit than my stock grille. It's worth mentioning that Dave was very accommodating to my dilemma and graciously offered me a full refund.

But my appetite's been whetted for a honeycomb-style grill, so I'm on the prowl for one that will fit. I've checked out the UK forums and it would seem peeps are swapping their stocky sporthatch grills for genuine VXR ones, though I'm not sure if the spex between the UK and local AHs are the same.

Any thoughts/ideas/suggestions?

Yah, I'm pretty sure that is just the chrome version of the one I got, hence won't fit.

Re. the VXR grille - are they stock honeycomb? Can't say I'm a fan of the 'v' thing as I'm trying to go for a somewhat unique look for my SRi.

If I get really desperate, I may even consider getting a SRi-T front bumper. Besides, I like the lip on those. Dare I ask how much for one of those, inc. painted/grill/fog lights?

there is 2 V grills, one is the stock slated one and the vxr one is honeycomb, but from what i have read they are interchangeable??..??
the stock one is chrome and the vxr one is painted

i found my vxr grille on ebay germany, but i think it was just a once off grille that somebody taken off their car, the weird thing is that its chrome, maybe they have non body coloured grilles there....

i paid about $150 i think total so it might be worth looking out on ebay.de if you are desperate

What car did you fit the VXR grille to?

I'm starting to think VXR grilles might only fit SRi-Ts (and VXRs of course).

The million dollar question: does someone somewhere have a VXR/OPC/SRi-T grille fitted to their non-Turbo SRi or standard 3-dr coupe?

fitted to sri-t, yeah it took me a couple of wks to find but just got lucky i suppose =)
