hey aussie, saw them the other day and fell in love with them!

I'm trying to force my brother to get them in 18's or 19's for the commodore (if they even make them in that size!)

They look much darker in real life though, and much more angular! I could just see them on a brand new vectra now 8)

LOL, in regards to "look at what I'm getting"

Spoiler, OPC front grille, SRi front lip and lower springs REAL soon. 8) 8) 8)

I'm liking the new choice, especially the fact they gonna be 18"

Bigger is always better!!! :P

Yeah nice looking rims 'aussievectra'.

Oh and are the goodyears that good of a tyre ? $1800 seems a bit steep for 17".

Either way, they'll look great on a silver car.

18's 8)

they legal???

aussievectra
11th August 2004, 08:37 AM
Yes they are, because you can go 2 inches bigger on the biggest standard size rim. The HBD rims are 16x6" and you can go up to 18x8. in the new vectra the CDXi comes with 17" and you can go up to 19".

mr_sikma
11th August 2004, 08:45 AM
so i can go 17" on my barina because of the SRi model even though my model only has 14's????

i reckon its what YOUR model has, and not what ele comes out on the car!

aussievectra
11th August 2004, 08:50 AM
Possibly, but it's different for each state. In NSW and VIC you can go 2 inces bigger. Check with SA rules.

mr_sikma
11th August 2004, 08:52 AM
SA you can go 2" bigger on what YOU have sandard.

does your car have 16's standard? just coz its an option i dont think it means u can go 2 bigger than that

You can't go to 18x8. +2 is for diameter not width, for FWD cars you can only go +1 in width without requiring an engineer's certificate.

Who says? The RTA says :)

if you have a look at the wheel size placard on ur car that will tell you what it came stock with... dont go off the size of the wheels that were fitted when you bought it....

on the corsa's it is on the inside of the fuel cap and mine (2003) says 15"

aussievectra
15th August 2004, 01:03 PM
I didn't get 18x8 I got 18x7 fits staight on. They look really sporty, with Pirelli P7000 tyers.

Already had the Dept of Trans pull me over 2 days after i owned it to give me a defect notice for the rims...until i pulled out the invoice from holden and showed them the wheels were fitted before i purchased the car..

Their response after he put his book back in his pocket.....ON YOUR WAY...DRIVE SAFE
