i tend to agree with the reason as to why this will work better than a battery powered car, the refueling time.

for the most part I think the range is still too short for it to be a viable option in Australia at the moment.

270 miles is about 430Km; the range of something like a Daihatsu Charade (with a 30L tank).

Though, as time goes on they'll only develop better ways of getting the energy out of the hyrdrogen, just like they're improving fuel economy now.

Maybe not viable at this moment, but this will certainly kick the ass of the Australian built Toyota based competition in three or four years time. We just need to get the hydrogen out there.
