Thought this would be interesting to post up. Caral, a UK tuning sports car manufacturer, has taken the VX220/Speedster and tweaked it. They offer it in two spec levels... the V6XS and the V8XS.
The V6XS uses either a Ecotec or Holden built Alloytec V6. Capacitys available are 2.5, 2.6, 3.0 and 3.2 Litre for the Ecotec or 2.8 Turbo and 3.6 Litre for the Alloytec. Gearbox is a 5 or 6 speed getrag.
The V8XS uses a 450bhp 4.2L V8 from Jaguar. Gearbox is a 6 speed getrag.
The V6 and V8 engines are mounted longitudinal which in turn dictates the wheelbase on the Caral VXS vehicles to be 170mm longer than an original VX220.
