Well done, looks different and better than stock, as long as your happy with the result and outlay, that's all that matters :)

I dont agree. The 2.2 badge is awesome...differentiates it from the crappy new 1.8 sri`s. Leave the holden badge too...otherwise u would need to debadge steering wheel, front grille, engine...everything really...lol

but u could always get the front opel grille, steering wheel and rear opel badge.

Thanks for the feedback, guys! Very pleased with the new rims myself. Next step is to drop it even more. I've already dropped 1.5", but the 19"s are begging for additional droppage.

Re. the Holden badging, I did consider replacing them with Opels or even nothing at all, but that's further down the line.

I am getting my 10% tints this weekend so we'll see where we take it from there!

I was quoted $200. The guy is fairly reputable, he does a work for a lot of dealers. I'll let you know if he's any good.

what's the stud pattern (PCD) on these rimz? I don't even see if it's 4 or 5 - must be going blind. I am looking for 5 x 110, 17 x 7 with black elements like yours or Osaka Mannus, but noone seems to make them in 5x110. Apart from Vectra and some Astra, only Saab has 5x110 :(

Yeah they're 5*110.
Most manufacturers won't make them in 5*110 so, unless you're doing track work, just get them re-drilled :)

Bek, what was the original - 5 x 114.3?

Bek, what was the original - 5 x 114.3?

I've got Osaka Enzo's and i'm almost certain that was the original. Either that or possibly 5*112 but i think it was the former. If you're interested in Osaka wheels, go to your local "The Tyre Factory" as they're a stockist and they'll fill you in on what size you need to redrill ;)

As far as I know, they were 5 x 110 off the shelf but they were sent away for some modding (I don't know what though).

do you mean re-drilling a blank wheel or re-drilling an existing 5 stud pattern?

It is both illegal (voids insurance etc...) and fairly unsafe to drive on re-drilled stud holes!

sooty

It wouldn't be RE-drilling if done from blank, nor is it illegal here in Victoria, and the inserts they put in are actually stronger than the original wheel

sorry, my mistake:) so they actually put new inserts to fill the gaps? What do they look like?

Yeah, they drill the holes to the right PCD, (think mm difference), it's hardly even noticeable, then put the new inserts in.
Best description i could give is that the inserts almost look like a bearing (think apec 3) that's sorta concave on one side so that the wheel bolts sit into them properly. Next time i take my wheel off i'll get a picture :)

or you get wobble bolts
and leave the wheels as is

that would be great:) is this normally charged extra? I am having a very hard time finding wheels that I like in the 5x110 offset and would like to consider taking this path...

Ahh sweet, yeah it allows you full access to almost any range of wheel. Normally when you're spending $2k or so on wheels and tyres, the re-drilling is included in the price, at least it was for mine:)
