Hi everyone, just letting you know the bad news that my car was written off on Wednesday last week, I havent stopped crying, was in merrylands going to work in the morning and got hit but a car flying up the bus lane as i was making a right hand turn. 1st ever accident now its gone :(

sorry to hear, that sucks. at the end of the day, metal is metal, no matter how sentimental and the main thing is that you're ok.

by the way, it's "written off" or "a write off" just for future reference.

Sheeesh .. sorry to hear anout your accident. Cars can be replaced and bones mended, but lives can't be, so think of that as a positive.

But it just shits you. You spend s much money, time, care and attention making sure your pride and joy is something everyone is impressed by, all to have some careless arsehole (who probably isnt even insured), take it away.

I know the feeling of losing a loved car though.. my first ever car was taken from me after I swaerved to miss a drunk running across the road and wrote the car off. :(

Best of luck getting anotther car, and I hope its another Astra!
