Hey gang

My name is Angus and I'm 20 from Brisbane. Just thought I'd say g'day and all that before I go launching into question-asking!
Few months back I bought a 2002 Astra SRi with 85,000km on the clock and in not too bad condition (few paint spots, bit of gutter rash on wheels but not too bad otherwise!).
Prior to the Astra, I had a 1989 BMW 325iS, so this is an upgrade in some ways, but a bit of a downer in others lol. Certainly loving the reliability (touch wood!), and the lower maintenance.
Below are a few pics, but it's totally stock so I'm sure these photos are just as exiting as the ones on redbook or something, lol! At this stage I am resisting the urge to do a few little mods (cosmetic stuff like new body kit or something, plus quite possibly colour-coding the black plastic bits on the sides of the car), but we'll see how that goes!

Anyways, I think that about does the whole intro thing :) :)

I've been a member over at the Euro Car Club of Australia for a while, and when I made the move to the Astra, found the Opel area of that website a little lacking. Quick google search revealed you guys!!

Yeah champ they add at least another 15kw at the wheel...!! Plus it's far more effective than those "FOR SALE" sign on the back for getting a race going with the ricers :p

Thankfully I never had massive reliability problems, but the car was nearly 20 years old lol. It's just the little issues here and there which add up to cost a fortune over time. I loved every minute of it, except for those moments which included large mechanics etc bills!

I'm hoping the astra will be a little cheaper to run, and leave a bit of spare cash in this uni student's budget!
