as some of you may recall, a mate of mine back home was building a monster of a corsa..

it was in the final stages of completion, took it out for a run in, and got t-boned. :(

Miguel is ok, with some bad scarring, but no broken bones.

RIP Betsy

OUCH!

what work did have done to it?

i dont know the exact details, as it was all *hush hush* until it was to be revealed.

afaik it was going to be turbo, ITB's, management, cams, LSD, widebody kit, eibach and koni suspension, front and rear strut braces. and alot of internal work.

requires a fair bit of tuning, but yes, it can be done. quite a few guys have done this on XE's and LET's

that's an interesting setup...i've never seen it before, only ITBs on a N/A setup
i guess the turbo guys are doing it to improve their throttle response? wonder if it actually makes a difference, after all you've got a big stonking turbo pushing the air in already :)

Yes ouch....at least your friend is ok, that's the main thing...

Did he have it properly insured, or the other person at fault ??? he could collect the payout and always start again ;)

yes it was comprehensively insured, but i doubt it will cover half of his expenses on the car. but he will be claiming for hopital expenses and recovery costs, etc as well.

i know thatd be the first thing to cross my mind if some dope done it to my car, i doubt everything would have been insured, being a work in progress, youd wait untill completion before insuring, otherwise youd be changing your policy every month.
sorry to hear about your mate and the car, but am glad he is still with us :)
hehe, with med expenses etc im sure he could easily afford replacing the car...
still a shame though.
