hey everyone
my name is eugene i got an 05 TS sedan astra. unfortunatly its white but gona make it look just as good as a black one soon i hope. im still at school so i dont have much money but i have managed to put a pretty rageing stereo in it already. Hopefully i would have lowered it and put rims on it soon enough (looking at rodney jane graphic or flame wheels). And deffinately get a new grille for it and probaly take rear spoiler off it. Also wanna know how bad will 18's affect my drive quality and is an k and n air induction worth it?
cheers anyway
here is some pictures.

hey, welcome to the site, where bouts in qld r u?
if you lower it, go a set of eibach's, they are 100 times better then kings ;).
there is a big cruise coming up in a month thru the brissy area, if ur near the south east, make sure you get along.
the K&N induction kits rnt worth doing, but a panel filter with a derestricted airbox, or a pod filter is ;).
also, see my sig for info on remaps for future reference :D.

Hey and welcome matey ! where on the sunshine coast do you live ?

White is a good colour so dont stress about that, just do some colour coding and it will make a world of difference and wont cost you much at all. Definately Eibachs and a good pod filter and speak to Ausvectra for the Remap ;) Tonnes of stuff about anything and everything on these forums for you to trawl through, youll be licking your chops to get your hands on some more cash with all the mods your going to start planning.

ps nice head unit ;)

yeh im looking at eibach's right now on that website. does anyone have the sportlines? how far do they actually drop it cause there on sale for 175. http://www.eibach.ashop.com.au/p/524295/sportline.html but i dont want it too low. and yeh i got a k and n pod filter sitting in my room so i might use that or i will just de restrict the box. what gets more go?
next year ill have alot of m,ooney and nothing to spend it on so hopefully ill have this astra going a bit harder... (keep in mind i got P plate laws) so no turbo. ill have a fast NA but hopefully. and yeh im gona check out some of those cars now

sprtlines will drop by around 35-40mm genereally

sportline (is up to 50mm) will lower quite drastically

prokit is meant to be 30mm

*waits for someone to confirm if sportline keep legal height for on road use*

in terms of performance there is really only Extractors/Exhaust, Improving induction (de-restrict airbox, panel filter/pod) and even thinking about a tune by auzvectra

Checked the RTA...

A vehicle or combination must have a ground clearance of:

a. at least 100mm at any point within 1 metre of an axle; and

b. at least one-thirtieth of the distance between the centres of adjacent axles at the mid-point
between them; and

c. at any other point - at least the distance that allows the vehicle or combination to pass over
a peak in a road, the gradient on either side of which is 1:15, when the wheels of one axle
of the vehicle or combination are on the slope on one side of the peak and the wheels
of the next axle are on the slope on the other side

Hope that helps.

the sportline will push it just under the legal limit.
the prokit keeps it just above the limit, i had kings and it sat dead on the limit, i put the eibachs in and it lifted it about 5mm. so the sportline would be about 5-15mm under the limit.

the pod would be beta, but just doing the airbox is more legal ;).
the pod is fine as long as it's sheilded from the heat of the engine bay, as it's an oiled filter it "could" ignite. well thats what the laws say newayz ;).
also they "can" book you for too much induction noise, so just dont boot it near them :D.
who says u need to turbo it to go hard ;).

true i dunno what ill do ill see. ill be keen on a remap at the end of this year toward the start of next year i reckon or whenever i get the money... and also another question... how much is the general price to pay for colour coding or is it easy to do yourself?

auzvectra

around the 200-400 mark depending where you go, and how much you want done. glider got his done for 200 recently which was front lip extention and side skirts, and the bump strips. ur bump strips and door handles would prob be less.

i noticed a massive power and braking difference when i put my rims on the barina... since it is only a 1.4l any weight difference is a killer...
