03 SRiT G - BOOT HOW TO OPEN?

just got my new car.. and i cant open the boot!

doors unlocked.. tried key spot in horizontal position and vertical position.

worse is i cant even find a boot release key lol :(

try and turn it 180 degrees vertical to vertical, then push the button in.

I don't think there is a boot release in the cabin anywhere.

it just doesnt seem to turn it whirls abit and moves like 75degrees to the right. i will try again tomorrow

yeah, you can lock it with the key to the dead lock position, try n wiggle it a lil when turning. when deadlocked it can be a lil tight. otherwise there should be a release inside.

just went n checked mine, now mines deadlocked too :p.
guess i'll have to reconnect the battery to unlock it.
put the key in, turn it clockwise till it stops, u will feel it try n move the central locking actuator, then push the key in and it will open.
or just turn the key clockwise so the key is horizontal and unlock with the remote, unless the actuator is dead it should unlock, then just press the button in on the boot and it should open

mine got stuck locked too a while ago, have you tried a combination of locking car and trying to turn the key, then unlocking and trying same process?

trying to remember what i did but i think it was just the above
