Hi all, im looking for some suggestion as im getting a set of new 17" rims and tires from BJ T-mark for my 04 TS Astra. I just got a bit concern of the tires they chose for me - Falken 215/40 R17 (not sure about the model). Coz i heard few friends said to me the Falken tires are not very durable and the quality is average. True? Thanks

P.S. the wheels and tires package cost $1200 in total. i know with this price i wont get some decent stuffs, but still want the value of money:)

Find out the actual model as Falken do make some good tyres.

For example the FK452 18" did alright in a wheels tyre test in 2007.

Cheers,
Rift.

Mate id stay clear away from them. They wear ridiculously quick and are noisy. My mum had a set and had to get them replaced after 15k (they were bald and no she does not have a heavy foot) She thought it was a one off so she went with them again. Suprise Suprise, 15k later, they are bald.

I wouldnt touch them again, but thats just me.

Haven't had a problem with mine, they've been great tyres. FK452's, plenty of grip, not noisy and wear is great. Nothing wrong with Falken. Will get about 60,000 out of mine and that's with hard driving and some track work. Recommend them.
