This is going to be one sensational car by the looks of it & we may not ever see it thanks to our Korean car company, Holden...... :(

Here is the Vauxhall microsite. You can configure up an Insignia as well. Hmmmmmm, I so want one.

If they bring this car here, people would stop buying their commonwhores.

didnt work with teh ZC Vectra...........

The insignia looks like a complex car, so even if it came here, would probably cost a lot - doubt the fleet managers would want to look at it....

We will see something based on this car. The Insignia platform will form the basis of the replacement for the Epica.

Got to see it today at THE INTERNATIONAL MOTOR show and the car looked stunning. Vauxhall had about 10 of them on show. Quite a few variants. 2.0 turbo 4WD, 2.8turbo 4WD, 140hp 1.8 and a few diesel models. If i could resize the pics i'd get some up. i'll sort them out later on ;)

Guys, I'm not sure if I'm inspired by the looks of the Insignia. It looks very bland and unoriginal.

If I had to buy a larger car, that would be right near the top of the list!

am i the only one who sees the resemblance of a daewoo?
im not saying it is one, or even that it could be one, i honestly wouldnt have a clue. i just think that the big grille looks daewoo barina sedan'ish and epica'ish.
the whole car just doesnt look vauxhall'ish
or opel'ish
or even holden'ish
perhaps i should just shut up'ish :p

Up close it is an impressive looking car, not your aggressive looking hot hatch as many on here favour. Interior especially switchgear & positioning is a big move forward and the driving positioning nigh on perfect.

+2.

That has got to be the HOTTEST looking thing to come out of Opel/ Vauxhall in a meduim car for some time.

They have got it right...

As for the comments about being bland. what are you comparing it against??? Or is it there is just no pleasing anyone here...

One thing is for sure. It makes the Vectra look like a dinosaur.....

I'll have mine with the 6 speed manual 2.8T V6 with 4x4, FlexRide and the fancy headlights, thank you. I can probably live without the Opel eye...

Hey I thought I might have caused some controversy with my comment.

Shaun, the looks are bland compared with Mazda6, say. I would also still prefer an OPC Vec-C (lookswise anyways).

I def agree with Jay - I can see Epica headlights. The Grill is waaaay too big. I don't like the front at all..

I like the profile (which is a little Torana-ish) and the rear def resembles an Opel.

I'm sure that the underpinnings are spectacular. I'm only basing my opinions on the photo's I've seen so far. Will wait till I see it in the flesh - possibly in Germany when I get there in Sept.

Bring one back with you and tell Holden its the replacement for your Veccy.
Would of been cheaper for them ;)

OT: I kinda have to agree though, it just looks like another car. It's not crap, it's not spectacular. After having a good look at the new Mazda 6 yesterday it does nothing for me at all.
But in the flesh it may be a different story.
Time will tell I guess.

Sadly my friend as Holden have chosen the Korean route with less than safe, cheap, poorly built uninspriring cars we will probably never see these Insignia's here. Although, I know you are well aware of that, I am just taking the opportunity to yet again vent my ever growing anger at Holden.
