K&N Sports Air Filter for '07 SRI 2.2

Having trouble pinpointing the specific one as the K&N web site doesn't list Holden parts and and doesn't list any 2.2 Astras in the Opel range. Help?

Don't know where you got that from, but I'm pretty sure that's the part # for the 1.8 as I just brought one today for the wife's car.
The number for the 2.2 is 33-2213.

is this the right one? because i went to repco, and they have told me.. that they havent made a filter for the 2.2 yet?
will it make a difference if its a 2.2direct engine?
and my one is an '08 version?

Sorry mate, didn't notice you had an 07.
Just checking the K&N website it doesn't look like they make one, so the guy from repco was probably right (I'm sure he would've sold you one if he could). IMO they don't make a lot of difference, it's just cheaper than buying a new paper filter each time.

I bought mine from Recpo about a year ago. It was not listed then, but I just went to the K&H site in the US, found the part number for the 2.2 engine there, and said to repco "sell me this part number". I think the Australian listing was for a vectra.

K&N filters make no difference to performance. A good paper filter flows well enough and filters better.

Really? I installed a K&N on my old shitty Mirage and it did wonders!

The new Astras have the 2.2L DI motor. Older ones weren't DI IIRC.

and from memory / what I've been told .. the DI motors use varible air intake based on throttle, so that might cause problems with a differnt air filter installed.
