True that above SSSHoon ;)

That IC above may be small in area, but it is a deep one, so it'd have some volume there...

And how funny/surprising would it be if that thing above 'actually' pumps out mega power and goes like lightning LOL :D

search for rear mount turbo set up, you will fomd nice looking turbo setups.

With the mounted at the rear of the car near the rear wheels.

Some even mount them near the gearbox area where the cat would normally go.

holy shit, you just opened a can of worms... please delete it before the "ZOMG it's school holidayz, and i just joined da forumz. i'm 17 and i wanna put turbz on my astra sxi" kids get a hold of this information.

it might mean days or weeks of pain and suffering on the forums for the lot of us.

:p no need to delete your post but i wouldn't be surprised if someone now asks if they can mount a turbo inside their glove box :D

From what's visible/distinguishable in the pic, it certainly does work !

Obviously just looks halarious :D

Could you just imagine the look on a coppers face pulling that thing over to give it a canary/defect notice LOL priceless :D

Another thing I just noticed, it looks like the exhaust exits just in front of the left wheel....

LOL how long will it last before it melts and blows :D

no1 thought of the fact of how much load would be on the exhaust manifold???
it would be 1 big lever, forget the fact that it looks/is stupid, if u started it, the turbo would prob snap the maifold, ot rip the exhaust studs out of the head!!!

A lot of 800+hp Mitsu EVO's that I've seen do this, so I'm guessing it won't do anything :p :D

But yeah...obviously this guy did this just for a laugh and I think the piping would burst due to drag etc. putting a lot of strain on it :)

Have to say, i've seen some home turbo jobs been done pretty good, theres a few on youtube, paddock bombs with turbos strapped to them, bit of knowledge, duct tape and cable ties can go a long way!!!

Yeh, I know, I bumped into him about 2 months ago and he told me about the whole thing...he still seemed very sad to have parted with the Cali :( I for one know how much he loved that car from when I first met him a few years ago...

I suppose it happens to most of us, when priorities come calling, like getting married and buying a house, the toys have got to go, that's also what made me sell my beloved 9sec Torana many years ago :(

Hopefully he'll be happy with the vtec in the mean time, he did tell me his next dream car to have would be an Evo 10, hope he eventually gets himself one :)
