Hey all

I'm a proud astra city owner, and stumbled across this site after being mentioned to me by ultim8.

I've been in the possesion of my car for a couple of week. ATM it has only been subject to new 17by7 chrome rims, but in the next week, I whould have a H&R 30mm spring kit slotted in.

Plans for the future are, Bilstein shocks, swaybars. Strut bars, new rubber all round, exhaust, k&n panel filter.

Aesthetically, I will keep you all in suspense till I decide what I will do.

Anyway, the names DON.

Proud to be a member of your forum :D

Hey guys, thanks for the welcome!

I'm hoping there will be a cruise for sydney members soon?

That would be awesome :D

ATM, I'm part of the dtmpower.net Australian forum. Come check us out. It's a BMW specialist website, but topics brought up seem to be pretty interesting, and the people there are mopre than friendly. :)

I'll definately be an active member of the forum, you can count on it.

ATM actually, I'm keeping a photo journal of what I'm doing. First I got to fiddle with my software to conect my camera right... :P

Well, things didn't go to plan with the springs: I'm deciding to buy shocks and springs all at once to save the hassle. Cars with springs that do not sit in place when being jacked up are considered unroadworthy and cannot be reregistered!

However, I did end up laying my hands on a brand spanking new pioneer H/U, mtx sub and mtx amp. Top of the line unit, now all I've got to do is find someone to install it!

Cars also going in to holden  the shock is rubbing hard against the shock tower dust rotector (flimsy plastic, lol), and produces a loud click when going over bumps. Not happy JAN!

Also looking at some jap wreckers for some new seats. I'm not a fan of my seats atm.

if its what i had b4, good luck. coz holden replace my entire shock, strut tower aseembly, bearings and for some reason was still there until i put my konis in.

also if u can, look for 2002 astra SRi seats. i think they are the best and i loved the adjustable thigh supports

Autumn, there is a warranty fix for that rubbing. It's just a matter of taking off the top hat and realigning it. That's all.

Guys, head mechanic at suttons told me that it can be realigned, but will come back sooner or later. They have simply been taking off an inch of the sleave.

Doesn't shit me too much, I'm getting Bilsteins...

One day.

Ultim8, you take lay-by? 8)
