Two men caught street racing on M4 overnight - Homebush

Two men are due to appear in court later this month after allegedly street racing on the M4 in Sydney’s inner-west overnight.

About 12:20am Burwood Highway Patrol officers were patrolling the M4 motorway at Homebush when they detected a white coloured Holden Commodore allegedly racing a white coloured Holden Astra.

Police pulled over both vehicles which were detected travelling at 152km/h in a 90km/h zone.

Both drivers, one a 23-year-old Harris Park man and the other a 25-year-old Harris Park man were issued with court attendance notices for the offences of street racing, drive in a manner dangerous to the public and exceed speed by more than 45km/h.

Their licences were suspended on the spot and both vehicles were confiscated.

The two men are due to appear at Burwood Local Court on the 29 April.

i think it's funny that they were "racing" but both doing 152kmh, must have been a VERY close race!!!

i have sat side by side with a falcon once, both of us slowly increasing speed...until we realised we were cruisingat 170ish for like 5 minutes haha. we werent racing at all...it was a duel of cruise controls :D

saw a s2000 and a 200sx today pulled over at m4 caltex twin servos, obviously for speeding or racing and then everntually impounded . i followed the cop, who was escorting the two tow trucks to either wetherill park or green valley station.
quite amusing.

hey we also seen that, and the other end of the servo was about 20-30 skylines.

Oh btw it wasnt me that was caught racing in a white astra either, just in case anyone was wondering.:D

I once drove to Kapunda cemetry, spare of the moment thing with a couple of merry friends at 12am and its a 3 hour drive from here :D

Is THAT what it was??? I saw them too, although when I saw them there were actually THREE of them.

I just wrote it off as some sort of Silvia-NSW cruise up the mountains or out to Krispy Kreme or something. I knew a senior member of silviansw.com from work a couple of years ago.
