Sorry to say, this kit is not only ugly, but impractical too !!!

You'll be smashing and leaving the front bar behind you or under the car every time you hit a bump....forget about slightly steep driveways too...and all that bother n trouble for 4k

Each to their own though, if you like, go for it :)

The colour of that gold looks terrible...but reckon you could stick fog lights where the mesh is?
Maybe a darker colour mesh to accent too instead of the matte grey/silver type colour?
It's hard to comment what it will look like in black...totally different i reckon...look forward to seeing it moose :D

Yeah the colour will make some difference...I don't have foggies on my CD Astra...might get them done if possible to this kit depending on how it will look...yeah I want the mesh darker, black too maybe...

As long as you like it who cares.
Just think hard about it as it's a lot of money to spend just to get her looking pretty :D
If you want some ideas i posted some other guys' here members threads in your member thread. Shoey85 has the holden kit and AH 18" Turbo wheels so will give you insight into how yours will look.. :)

The big question is..........is it fibre glass or plastic ?

sooty
18th February 2008, 10:42 PM
which is better? fibreglass i'm guessing...

maloo97
18th February 2008, 10:45 PM
most of these kits are fiberglass. Plastic is 100% better though.
It you touch or scrape no chips or cracks.

USC
18th February 2008, 11:14 PM
Plastic is better for same reasons as Maloo said. It wont chip or crack and is also stronger.

The front look pretty good...but not too fond of the rear...

digi

I found this kit while browsing eBay tonight. It's really subtle - not too extreme. I quite like it, but it's only extensions to the existing front and rear, not replacement. But for only about $600 shipped to Aus, that's not bad.

Where would you go to get something like this painted and fitted in Brisbane? And what kinda price would I be looking at?

Yep: On eBay here (http://cgi.ebay.com.au/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1&item=310035886861&ssPageName=STRK:MEWA:IT&ih=021) or Direct from manufacturer here (http://www.jdltuning.com/opel_vauxhall/astra_h_astra_mk5/opel_astra_h_hatchback_5dr_vauxhall_astra_mk5_hatc hback_5dr_bodykit.html).

They seem to have cheaper prices and delivery on eBay then they do on their website.

How would I get it installed and painted though? I know it's not a DIY job, because they parts glue on and aren't bolt-on replacements.

The front look pretty good...but not too fond of the rear...

I'm of the opposite opinion on this one, ie: I like the rear, especially if you add quad tips like that, but don't like the front, side skirts are nice too :)
